DO YOU HAVE AMISH MENNONITE FAMILY FROM BUTLER COUNTY, OHIO?

The Butler County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will present a program at the Chrisholm MetroPark on Saturday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. Nancy Porter will be giving a special program to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first Amish Mennonite settlement in Butler County, Ohio.
 
She will cover topics such as the early history of the Mennonites and Amish settlement in Butler County. Unearthing new findings about the Augspurger descendants Magdalena Reiss Augspurger and Charles (Kinsinger) Ricther, of the Richter Earthquake Scale.
 
Each participant in this program will receive a complimentary copy of the recently published booklet, “An Immigrant’s Legacy: Selection from the Estate of Christian Augspurger, 1848.
 
The Butler County Genealogical Society will be presented with a digital copy of the Genealogical Records for the Amish Mennonite community in Trenton from the Friends of Chrisholm. Which will be made available on the members only section of their website at http://www.butlercountyogs.org.
 
This event is Free and open to the Public. Refreshments will be served. Chrisholm MetroPark is located at 2070 Woodsdale Road, Trenton, OH 45067.
